Book Overview
I really cannot understand why this whole thing seems confusing. With lots of questions running within my confused mind, finding it so difficult to comprehend and find solution to the labyrinth thoughts shocking my reasoning as I sight Adam in almost the same state that I am. Clothed with confusion and shame, he tried to recuperate from a spiritual sting which had obviously affected his personal life as much as his graceful relationship with his Maker.
With everything almost turning down against him, he could see as of a glimpse from afar, perhaps a future hope coming towards him to show him at least just a way out of a hope that seems to have fallen completely from sight. Glancing at his partner, Eve, who also, standing in a shame-faced countenance, regretting the devastating ruin brought about by the consequence of their action to a proposed reaction in the presence of a “self-will” – they made their choices of course!
Within the judgement circle, they were both covered with dishonor contrary to the glorious gesture they used to promote and flaunt all over the garden from the first day they were created until that moment. Longing to quickly get out of the scene and proffer solution to the mess he found himself in, Adam began to run queries and dialogues within his mind, while starring confusingly and skeptically at his partner Eve: “Who is woman? What is the significance of a woman in a man’s life? Why in the first place did God make a woman? Why didn’t God just leave me the way I was without this woman? Why didn’t the Lord God create the woman separately just like He did to me (Adam; the man) instead of making her out of me? Of course He’s God, able to do anything…Why didn’t God give/ pass the instruction on how to live in the garden of Eden to me(Adam) while this woman was there?… Couldn’t God have foreseen ahead of time that this woman would lure me into such menace as of this downfall? Couldn’t the woman have been a trap just to ruin my relationship with my Creator? Could it mean that God deliberately wanted this woman to pull me down from the place of my solace? – He (God) gave her to me in the first place, I never asked for her…Ok, maybe God could have given me another woman/ person instead of this one, per-adventure this particular one wasn’t meant for me. Well, God might know better…. but why would my better half make me have to go through all these ordeals? Lots of questions kept running through the mind of the one God placed as the head in His wonderful institution, to ‘man’ and execute His (God) purpose judiciously over His (God) entire creation, starting from his home. Unfortunately, it was a mess!
Alright, with these questions rumbling within the mind of this confused, depressed and perhaps perplexed man as he stares possibly angrily at his so-called partner, he replied his Judge and Examiner with just one answer. Shifting the blame back to fault His companion, on the question, “Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?” He voiced out, “The woman whom thou gavest to be with me…” ~ Gen.3:10-12 KJV
