CHAPTER 2 ~ THE VISITATION

Bridging Wisdom.

In the chapter 2 of this book, we saw Adam and Eve tried to bridge wisdom, by taking a shortcut to get to their destination. They broke God’s rules by eating the fruit from the tree of “Knowledge of Good & Evil”, which made them smarter than they ever could – they understood and know both ‘good’ and ‘evil’, meanwhile they only had the understanding of ‘good’ but not evil.Meaning, they were in their innocent mode/ state.

When we as humans try to out-run the plans of God for our lives, we run into disappointments and shame. The Grace that once existed by default turns to disgrace. Waiting patiently on God as He leads and directs our lives is of great importance, else we run out of His good plans for us.

Also, we spotted Adam and Eve able to differentiate between ‘guilt’ and ‘innocence’. Guilt is birthed when a man is confronted with absolute truth. A man might be doing something wrong and yet to realize what he’s doing is wrong until confronted with the truth.

After eating the fruit, a very strange and dramatic change occurred to the couple — the complete strange state mixed with horror and fear f the unknown. Here are few obvious questions a man should know and continuously ask himself:

  1. Identity ~ Do I know who I am? The moment a man realizes who he truly is, then he would know his right and utilizes his authority effectively.
  2. Mission ~ What’s my purpose in life? If a man’s purpose is not defined, how would he function in his assignment
  3. Information ~ Do I have enough information to feed my family with in respect to God’s design for marriage/ family/ home? If this is not the case, then it’s most possible that you might not be able to counter any matters arising in the family. A man should have enough information so that any wrong or creepy information trying to erode the peace of the home would be checkmated. A device without an instructional manual cannot last, because information about the device is missing. Be informed!
